Ok so I ran my RCA cables and after I ran them I realized that one side says connect to source. But I connected that side to my amp and not my HU. Just wondering why this is and does it really matter? Does it affect sound quality at all?? I really don’t feel like pulling it out and running it...

So there’s no way to wire a single voice coil 4 ohm sub down to 2 ohms? My sub is just a single voice coil 4 ohm kicker sub

I have a 5 channel amp. If I run 2 channels at 2 ohms and the other channels are wired for 4 ohms will all the channels output 2 ohms power or only the ones that are wired at 2 ohms? I’m basically trying to get my sub output higher by running it at 2 ohms  the amp I have doesn’t have enough...

It’s weird. Ever since I hooked it to the battery I only get a slight alt whine when I first start it up. After a minute or 2 of running it’s almost completely gone

They’re underneath the carpet so they’re touching the sheet metal from the floor. But the sheet metal is painted. That could be it. But I don’t see a possible way I could run the rcas without it coming into contact with metal at some point 

14 ram. Didn’t do the big 3. Not sure how large the factory grounds are. Seem pretty thick tho. I grounded the amp right to the same post on the negative terminal where the battery ground runs to the chassis

Ok so I had a bad alternator whine when I grounded my amp thru the floor directly to the frame. Yes I hit the frame with sandpaper and a wire brush and had a clean metal ground. Then I tried grounding directly to the battery and the whine is basically gone. Does anybody know why this is??  I’m...

I decided to buy a 5 channel amp to power my sub and all my speakers. The dash and front door speakers are wiring together into the front channel. Will it be a problem if I just hook them into 2 channels on my amp?? The dash and front door speakers are both 4ohms. My amp can handle either 2 or 4...

So people don’t wire speakers to a head unit?? 

i set the crossover for the whole front speakers to 100hz and it seemed to help a bit. Still get some distortion but not as much. 

Front and rear 6x9s and 3.5 dash speakers. I wired it to the factory wiring. And then using a wire harness and soldered all the connections to the HU

Nah I have the crossover set to 4K for the tweeters and 60hz for the 6x9s. They aren’t all running to the front channel. They’re all wired correctly. I also have the master eq set to -5 at 16khz

So I just bought some kicker tweeters and pioneer 6x9s. I didn’t really get any distortion at all in my factory stereo in my 2014 Dodge Ram. I just installed a Kenwood dpx303 head unit in there now and it sounds awesome for the first few minutes at high volume but then it just starts to distort...
