I currently have an Inifinity 611a powering a JBL Powers Series 12". I built a box for this sub to fit in my truck but I have decided to get a new sub that I can put in a smaller box for more room. What do you suggest for the 611a? I prefer more SQ so it doesnt need to be extremely loud.

Well my power wire is fine, i touched it against my tool box and i know for sure it is getting power. I will check the ground connection tomorrw to see if that is the problem.

Ok, i hooked it up to the blue and white stripe one.....now it doesnt turn off but i still dont think that amp is getting a signal because it doesnt turn on....even if something is wrong somewhere else wouldnt the power light turn on on the amp just with the remote wire??

i am installing my sub and amp right now but when i put the remote wire in, it doesnt turn on the amp. What it does is just turn off my deck, just like i push the off button. It is still lite up and what not.....So can anyone help??

Ok, well...I am hooking up a JBL with DVC each of wich is 2 ohms to an Infinity 611a, which is also 2 ohms. So would it be ok to wire them in parallel, that would make it 1 ohm....? Or would it be better at 4 ohms??

I have one duel voice coil sub. Do you guys recommend I hook it up in parallel or in series. I figured I should do it in parallel, but is there any better one???

Also one more thing I forgot, the kit I got came with ground and fuse distribution blocks. Do I need to use these if i am only hooking up one sub??

I am installing my amp and sub for the first time. My simple question is does the sub need to be connected to the HU and the amp or just the amp. I saw a diagram and it was connected to the HU but I wasnt sure if it was just speakers. So the sub to the amp and the HU or just the amp???

I have the Inifnity 611a and I was wondering about the gauge to use. It says that the minimum I should use is 6AWG. Does that mean that 6 is the lowest number I can use or does it mean that I shouldnt use a smaller wire(higher gauge). Hopefully that makes sense to you guys. I was just a little...

Would you guys reccomend either a Infinity KAPPA PERFECT 12DVQ or the JBL P1220D II? I am mainly looking for clearity but I also want it to be able to hit real hard when need be.

Do you guys know of any sub that is just as good if not better then a JBL W10GTI that has a shallower mounting depth(9.13 inches). I am a lil short on room and just in case this doesnt fit what else could i get. And where can I find a box for that sub that will fit in limited space.

Will the only problem with that be draining the battery down? Or is there anything else that could happen? I can get that 1201.1 for 220, as far as i know that is pretty cheap.
