I have been test fitting alot of mock up boxes that I made out of scrap cardboard, The largest single box that will fit is 24wx14.5hx18.5d which is about 2.8cubes before the driver, more than the sx even needs. Would a tube port be better for this application because of space constraints?

I was set on a single 12" RE SX in a ported box, but now I don't know If i should put 2 12" type r subs in there. They would have to be in seperate boxes because the box would be too wide to fit through the trunk door. I have so many cool idesas but the boxes just won't fit through the trunk...

If I had 2 subs on either side of the trunk and they were facing eachother, would that be ok?
