I don't know anything about those subs. I'm looking more for SQ than SPL. There are so many choices, I can't decide. I was hoping for some good opinions.

Okay I have narrowed it down to two box designs, both downfire under the backseat of my crew cab. The first box has 5.5" of mounting depth and .95 cu. ft. per side. The second box has 6.5" of mounting depth and .83 cu. ft. per side. This could be 10's or 12's and I have 800 watts rms at 4 ohms...

Sorry haven't done that yet. I figured some where around .5 to 1.25 cubic ft. tops.

Need a sub that will handle 800 rms at 4 ohms in a small sealed enclosure. Probably going to be a center console in my '07 crew cab. I listen to all types of music.

I'm going to use the 8002 for sub. You can bi-amp the type x componets so i planned on running 2 channels to the 5 1/4's and the 6 1/2 mid bass drivers and 2 ch. to the tweets. Unless bridging the componets and mid bass drivers together would be better?

Should I get rid of the Alpine and the 4004 and try to find a 8004?

I did an install and was given an Orion 8002 and 4004. There are in mint condition and in working order. I've never used these amps, are they any good? I have type x componets and mid bass drivers for front stage. I have an mrv-f345 to power them with. My question is the orion amps would look...

I am planning for another amp for the sub. I figured using y adpapters on the front rca's to feed the four ch. amp. channels 1-2 for the kicks and 3-4 for the mid bass in the doors and the rear doors off the deck. Unless there is a better way?

Anyone running 10" in a sealed box? I'm thinking about building a center console for my 08 chevy crew cab. I'm going to put the amps under the backseat. I'm not sure I can get enough airspace for ported. I haven't taken any measurements just yet. I am looking for ideas.

DO NOT PUT IT AT THE RADIO or the input side of amp!! That radio is already putting out a low level signal which is what the loc is designed to do. If anything tap the rear speaker wires in the back of the truck.

Depends what your wanting. Alpine is going to have a cleaner signal. Every Kicker ZX 1000.1 I ever sold birth certificated right at around 1500w.
