So your saying if I play a 35Hz tone and look at my voltage meter and adjust the crossover freq. to the highest voltage reading, the amp will peak at 35 Hz?

ok, yet thats not really answering my ?. trying to figure out if at that point if it has any effect of performace, i think, lol.

Ok, I know how to set the gains to match voltage, but my question is... the crossover control. Not really understanding where I should set this to, but I noticed that while gains are set according to VAC # needed and adjusting the crossover control, if I turn it to the middle are, it reaches...

well so far checked the ohms on each voise coil and both VC are reading 1.9 ohms. Still haven't had time to check grounds and adding another battery

Those subs... actually woofers, which are home audio and KICK *** - the old ones about 20 yrs old, would be 8 ohms. I believe also most current home audio is * also, except for some 6 ohms.

well, i'm gonna take the subs out and measure the ohms on each voice coil. Look at temp. adding another battery from somewhere that will add a extra 2000 CCA, lol. and try getting a better ground position. I hope Kicker would give me a NEW amp for this. I was thinking of sending them pics of my...

Ok, had to X10 check the system voltage, just to have exact numbers here to explain to you what has happened. Measuring with DMM, Fluke 23, I took readings at input of power/ground connections. And heres the results.... Truck OFF - 12.56V Truck Started and system going for at least 2 minutes...

Well, I was wondering why they didn't take the amps? Did they try? Because if they pulled them somehow, I would imagine, they strecthed the wire, allowing it to rub or cut the wire somewhere or on something. It would be your red wire or (+) comming from your battery.I would look for any cuts...

were the amps in there when the subs were stolen? Did you check all your connections? If fuses are not in amp, the problem is shorting out (+) wire somewhere most likely. If the are in the amp, same thing, plus it could be internally a short. Make of amp and subs, not a concern, lol.

Amp was purchased straight from Kicker Jan 2, 2007. Hooked it up first time at the end of June. "Had to upgrade alt and wiring first." Had problem then sent it in, just recieved it like 2 weeks ago. Having issues again.
