So I guess a question if the rms output is upped by volume and you can't go past a certain volume how it the hell do u ever push an amp to do its full rms rating at half volume on a hu?

So I can't just turn it up till the the subs stop getting louder then turn it back down a little

Yeah the audio shop didn't do that they just turned the volume up and turned the gain up by ear

Oh so lower the gain does. I didn't set them the shop did so since it stops getting louder does that mean they set it for a certain volume?

How am I clipping my amp with a 270 amp alternator and two batteries? I'm only going down to 13.5 volts

Iv noticed on my new 1500 watt amp my subs stop getting louder around 30 volume well on my old 1000 watt amp my old subs kept getting louder up to and past 35 i know for sure I'm not pushing that amp to its fullest ability so does anyone have an idea of what's going on? I have an ho alternator...

I have my battery grounded to the frame of my car in the back its under neath the seats.
