We are in the same boat here, I've only had my vehicle for about 6 months. I don't know much about this either but google bridging and select the safer option at first to test then if you are not satisfied with the level of base then look into the not-as-safe option

The only other thing I can think of is does your head unit have any safety air bag/seatbelt/park restriction wires?(wires that prevent you from watching movies while you are driving) I would make sure those are good.

Don't know much about this stuff either, but here are my thoughts: I would guess that for whatever reason your amp is not at optimal condition with your system so it frequently goes to protect mode. You resetting the power makes it even more overworked and eventually a resistor or something...

I would check all your audio fuses(you can find which ones in your manual). If not something has gotten knocked loose in your wiring. I would start by removing your head unit(radio) and looking at all your connections. Is the radio on but no music? Or is it completely off?

I dont know very much about all this, but looks like I am the only one. 1. I would guess that your head unit is advanced enough to know the power it is getting, so it has gone into some sort of protected mode(?) to protect itself from damage. I guess this would be because somewhere it is...

Update: Thank you all for your help, but it seems it was all out of our control. The amp was in a boat for an extended period of time, and although its location seemed watertight somehow it is broken. I took it into an audio shop to get it bench tested and they also got nothing on input or...

I guess before the factory amp? Im not completely sure I have it tapped in to all the wires right by their connections to the head unit. Where is the ideal location of the loc? I assumed it was right by my factory head unit. Thanks
