Can't get the voltage for gain

Well I just received the results on my Cadence RMA and seems that the power supply was blown up. Would this be a result of a user error or something? Since the same symptoms seem to be showing up on the nine.2.

Can't get the voltage for gain

Hmm..would it not reaching the voltage mean the amp can't do the rated power? Also the ground is on a seat belt bolt so should be fine...I think. Also I made sure I had the volume maxed out on my laptop along with winamp. Also I did not see any input selector.

Can't get the voltage for gain

positive, I also checked the voltage of an outlet to make sure my multimeter was giving me accurate numbers. Also the head unit is suppose to give 4V outputs, could I just take a multimeter to the headunit and test that?

Can't get the voltage for gain

I am currently in the process of installing my nine.2 with the UR6s. At the moment the sub and the other amp are disconnected. I have am using a 1kHz test tone through the AUX input and have volume at 80%. I unhook both speakers and insert my multimeter into one of the channels. The voltage is...

    Dist block for my system?

haha yeah I'm slightly above budget, all I need is a headunit. I don't think I'll ever pump it to max, my current speakers at home only do up to 75w and I've yet to max them out. Thanks guys.

    Dist block for my system?

Alright, so I did some numbers and it comes out to be 100 amps max for both amps. According to the wire guide 4 gauge should handle 140 amps, so technically all I need to do is get a dist block and a new fuse? or does the KLM wires unable to handle the full 140 amps?

bump for gorgeous car, is that tint even legal? Drop me a PM if anybody asks you to part out the headunit.

    Dist block for my system?

aww, I am trying to avoid getting the 0 gauge, would it be cheaper to just get a 8 gauge amp kit and hook the nine.2 separately?

    Dist block for my system?

Hi, I bought a 4 gauge kit from KnuKonceptz for my ZRS-10 and got the Nine.2 later. I completely forgot about hooking up the second amp. The rest of my system is in my sig. I plan on running 1,000W on the Cadence and 200w from the nine.2. Could I do 4 gauge to 4 gauge and 8 gauge in one of...

    Maxing out my amp gain?

Is cadence known for overrating their amps? If they are overrated how do I figure out what its actual rating is?

    Maxing out my amp gain?

I assume they are RMS numbers since their ad says 2500RMS which refers to the 1ohm: http://cgi.ebay.com/CADENCE-ZRS10-2500-WATT-RMS-MONO-AMPLIFIER_W0QQitemZ250104137600QQihZ015QQcategoryZ64570QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem and when I asked the seller he said about 1000W. I never...

    Maxing out my amp gain?

even though that is what I need to get desired voltage? sqrt(1000 * 3) = 54V? or am I doing something wrong?

    Maxing out my amp gain?

Hi, I am at the point where I am adjusting my gains. I posted a similar thread in the install section but figured posting it here regarding on adjusting the gain is more appropriate. Here are my components: So far I am only installing the Cadence and sub to test it out. Anyways I am trying to...

Adjusting and mounting the system questions

oh sorry, 1000W @ 3ohms. I first used a 50Hz tone and with the gain maxed out it did not reach the desired voltage, when the 60Hz tone hit, it was about 54v. I have done the calculations with sqrt(1000*3) ~ 54V and also checked the chart.
