    whining noise!

Did your rca's ever touch the body durring the install? you can blow out your ground trace really easy by doing that. Do you have the noise when your engine is off? I ruined my kenwood deck because I had the car on when I was doing my install (110 degrees outside) and I ran the rca's with...

Soundstream Van Gogh VS PG Titanium

I think I'm going to go with 2 Vangogh 500.4's I can run the mids at 125x4 @ 4 ohm and the subs at 500x2 @ 4 ohm. That's probably my best bet for the money I want to spend... I'm still open to other ideas

    16-18volt amps

Does anyone know some amp brands that have 16-18volt amps? I have an external regulator so I can go from 13.5-21volts. It'd be nice to have 1000x2 and a 150x4 amps and have the current draw under 140 :-) Would I need to run two bats? I have another alternator I can fix up and run dual alts... I...

Soundstream Van Gogh VS PG Titanium

Does anyone recommend any other amps? I have dual IDmax 12s d2. That means dual 2 ohm coils. I can either wire the subs at 4 ohm or 1 ohm alone and .5, 2, 8 ohm if wired together... it has to be under 10x20x4 widthxlengthxheight. My budget is about 400 and I want it to give each sub at least...

    infinity perfect 6.1

Yah, I've heard really bad things about the infinity perfects but... I have the 6.1's and I like them. They're not the best speakers in the world but I don't care really. Then again if I was going to comps I'd probably have a way different setup. As for my daily driver they're good enough. I've...

Soundstream Van Gogh VS PG Titanium

what was the amp draw from the VGA 1600.2 ? I think it's 90 amps but it has dual inputs so I don't know if it's 90amps per input... That'd ****

Soundstream Van Gogh VS PG Titanium

Hey, I've had some trouble with my PG titanium amps. I've had a lot of thermal problems with my ti800.1. I'm thinking about shipping it back to PG and have them fix it again then buying selling it along with my ti500.4 on ebay. The soundstream Van Gogh amps look pretty good as far as I can tell...

Phoenix Gold titanium amp flame - ti800.1

My o-scope is fine. I used 0db sine waves... it might be a bet off but I'm not sure. I also played some cds louder than I normally play. I don't blast my system. I'm actually really easy on my amps and I'm shocked that I've been having this many problems. I had a kicker kx150.2 amp for some...

Phoenix Gold titanium amp flame - ti800.1

No no no... they're wired like: I double checked the ohms with a DMM... The DMM said it's 1.5ohm but... PG explained that, that's resistance and it's not the same... I don't really understand what they meant by that but whatever. The install is fine. There is no clipping according to the...

Phoenix Gold titanium amp flame - ti800.1

2 ohm load. I'm powering two idmax 12's dual 2 ohm coils... gain is set at about 1/4th and boost is about 3/4ths so it's +6db approx... It's shutting off because of thermal problems. I keep an eye on my voltage meter so there aren't any big drops. It's running at about 14.0-14.4volts. I keep...

Phoenix Gold titanium amp flame - ti800.1

Alright, I got this amp over the summer because I heard how stable/clean they are. They are not stable at all. After a week of having it the amp started shutting off because of thermal problems. I called PG and talked to them about the problem and they agreed that it's defective. I sent it back...

    Memory foam = deadener?

yah, it's actually kind of impossible because it's surrounded by metal.. I think when they were putting the door together they put some of the deadener in before they welded the pieces together.... You can't really hear the buzzing I don't think. It's just my daily driver so I'm not stressed...

    Memory foam = deadener?

I was thinking about using that inside the door in some spots where I can't use regular deadener... ford put these sacks with fiberglass type stuff in it... it doesn't really do anything besides buzzes sometimes

    Memory foam = deadener?

Hey, I'm thinking about stuffing memory foam behind my panels and everywhere else. I spent about 700 bucks on sound deadening before and I still have some rattles so I'm going to use memory foam to stop them. Anyways, has anyone else done this? Does it dampen sound any? I have some asphalt based...

    Good Tweeters?

tweeters make a HUGE difference. I'd stick to some good silk dome tweets they're less harsh. I have some alums right now and they're really good but a little bit too harsh for most people. I still like them though. I have a set of infinity perfects 6.1's they were about 200 for the comp set.
