yeah, it's the mirror encloser/housing that's rattling. i was thinking of opening it up and putting something to dampen it so that it may stop it from rattling, but i dunno how to open it up.. i have a 97 jeep grand cherokee, and the rear view mirror is one of the ones with the auto dimming...

if there were screws to tighten, it would have been done already. it's not exactly the mirror, but rather the enclosure the mirror is in... like the plastic is hitting the mirror or something.

i'm not sure if this is in the right board or not, but does anyone know how to stop a rear view mirror from rattling? if i turn up my stereo a little loud, my mirror starts to rattle and it gets VERY annoying. thx!

this question's been buggin me for a while, and i've searched for an answer to it, but haven't really found a good answer... hopefully u guys can shine some light upon me... here's the question... what's the difference between the different types of tweeters?? for example: silk dome, titanium...
