Yea i currently have Pioneer TS-A6880R in my cougar. They **** though i want to buy a new pair. I know you can fit a 5x7 speaker in the opening. So would these speakers be an upgrade? Alpine SPR-57LP Any input would be helpfull, or if you guys think another speaker would be better off please...

I was told by someone that it is smarter to have one sub rather than two because one sub is pulling out all the watts rather than the two splitting the watts, ex. one 12" over two 12" one twelve doin 500w then two 12's doin 250 ea. Is that bull or is it true????

yea i was looking at that amp also...idk tho...with just 2 speakers will it still sound good?

I have two Rs same model same ohms everything. I am powering them with an MTX 801d...sounds good as hell very loud. Peak doesnt matter...RMS is what you want anyway Rs are like 500 rms i think 801d is same...good amp trust me.
