Thanks! I will certainly post pics when I'm done. Ordering a blower next week so that install will take precedence over the stereo. I'd like to get it in and to the track before adding all of the stereo weight. I've aready added around 100+ pounds between the wiring and the sound deadening.
Thanks! Just ordered them per your recommendation. BTW, what tips do you use for what? For example, use 1.7 for primer, etc. I have no idea since this will be my first paint project. Thanks!
Harbor Freight, relatively close. I'll check HF prices. I like these kits because they have three guns. 1.0, 1.4, 1.7 tips and I don't have to drive to get 'em. I'm thinking, primer, paint and clearcoat. One for each.
I would like to paint my finished product. So, which one of these kits would you pick to paint? I know these are cheap kits but I will probably never use them more than 6 times in my life. I only have one use for them right now and don't know the next.... I like to do things myself to get...
The amp rack will be painted to match the car. Who sells the long thin ones? Are we talking 10", more? How much does one tube actually light? Should there be two? The amps are JL Audio 1000/1 and a 300/2 and will be enclosed with plexi. Sorry for all the questions, I've never used neon before.
I almost have one of my boxes ready to paint. I used Rage Gold for the filler. It is my understanding that any pinholes can be filled with the primer, right?
Also, I am using flush mount rings. I used the Rage over the top of them but have raw mdf for the flush part and the inside wall of...
Thanks guys! I've been researching the etching and I think I might give it a go and do it myself with a dremel. I like doing stuff like that myself. We'll see what happens! Thanks for all of the replies!
I have a friend that owns a glass company so I can get someone to cut it that is not a problem. Thanks for all the responses. Still undecided. I like the fact that the glass would be easier to clean than the amp.
Good point. It will be nothing less than the best I can possilby do. It won't be slopped together that is for sure. I will take as much time as needed to do it right.
What looks better in your opinion? This will be for an amp rack that will be painted. I'm not worried about the extra work involved with installing fans if I go the plexi route. Thanks! Plexi cover or flush mount open.
Edit: Flush with plexi cover or flush with no cover to be more specific.
