    Question on Setting amplifier gains

Hello, I have a question about setting gains. I have a 94 Bronco with an aftermarket 200A alternator. I have the 7" Denovo Audio Anarchy midbass woofers in the doors powered by a Alpine GM-D8604, Alpine hiend 28mm tweeters powered by another GM-D8604 and a 1Ohm 12" 750W Image Dynamics subwoofer...

Denovo Anarchy 704s Not giving me good midbass

Thanks for the info. Good thing is, I don't play super bass heavy songs (e.g. rap), I play rock / metal and just like the kick to really come through without sounding muddy. So hopefully that helps on that end.

Denovo Anarchy 704s Not giving me good midbass

Hah! Yup, but I'm a newbie when it comes to car audio and all this audio stuff in general and I also don't want to blow anything up, so tweaking slowly, but we're getting there... Thank you for the help everyone! BND

Denovo Anarchy 704s Not giving me good midbass

Ok, so I kind of figured out my issue. The anarchys need a lot of power to shine, so what happened was, as I was increasing the volume, the tweeters got loud, to a point where I found enjoyable but the anarchys weren't even moving. So I went into the Dsp software and boosted the anarchys by 6db...

Denovo Anarchy 704s Not giving me good midbass

Since I have two 6x9" in the back, I'll use them as a dedicated midrange. I'll try and run the Anarchys much lower (around 55 - 400Hz) and have the 6x9 pick up the slack from 400Hz+. I saw several others on some forums talking about running the Anarchys pretty low, not the usual ~1500Hz.

It's both a graphic and parametric. I'm running a Jl Audio TWK 88. Haven't touched the EQ yet. Any good starting points?

Denovo Anarchy 704s Not giving me good midbass

Actually, I'm still not quite satisfied with the current results, I think it could be better. I mostly listen to metal / rock, so bear with me here, but if I turn down the sub all the way, there isn't much of a "kick" from the Anarchys. Is there a reason for that? I'm running them down to 55Hz...

Denovo Anarchy 704s Not giving me good midbass

What are the "dB" values at the end of your list here? Again, somewhat of a newbie in setting all this up, I'm learning as I go. Where do you set these values, DSP? I only have this column I can change the dB values. Should this be where I set my sub to 12, midbass to 24, etc...? Thanks! EDIT...

Denovo Anarchy 704s Not giving me good midbass

Well, neither of you were joking. I went down all the way to 55Hz and dear lord, with the subi in the back and these monsters, it's like getting slammed in the chest with a baseball bat. @JRsmoothee I am running 2x Alpine Hiend 28mm twetters out front (their Fs is 750Hz, so I'm running them at...

Denovo Anarchy 704s Not giving me good midbass

Good stuff, thank you! Will try. What is the upper crossover point? I have mine around 1400-1500Hz. Thanks!

Denovo Anarchy 704s Not giving me good midbass

The Fs is 45Hz or so, so I figured around 2x Fs is a good crossover frequency, but perhaps I'm wrong. Again, any advice greatly appreciated! EDIT: Just noticed you added the 60Hz part. Ok I'll try that. The TWK88 has slopes as steep as 48dB/octave so that's probably what I'll do. What should my...

Well that's my point, I'm pretty clueless when it comes to this stuff. Should I cross them over lower? What do you recommend? Thanks! BND

Denovo Anarchy 704s Not giving me good midbass

Hi everyone, I have a 1994 ford Bronco with the Denovo Audio Anarchy 704s in the doors, the doors are well sealed and noise insulated. I am running them with a Pioneer GM8604 bridged, so they're getting 200W per speaker. For some reason, they can get loud but I can't seem to get the midbass out...

    Help With Tweeter Crossover

Hm... so for some reason I still can't get my midbass woofers to sound any good. the rest of the system is great but right now all I can really hear is the sub and tweeters. I double checked all connections, I am running a bridged Pioneer GM8604 amp to the speakers (the 7" anarchys), so they're...

    Help With Tweeter Crossover

Nevermind, the Pioneer has a weird Gain scheme. It tells you what the input should be not what the output will be. Since I;m running this from a bluetooth output, the output voltage is roughly 500mV, not the 4V it usually is from pioneer head units, and that's what I set my gain to haha! I will...
