ive had the sub for 5 months and a friend has had it for 1 year so why would it happen all of a sudden

today i was listening to some cd today and all of a suden my sub cut out. I was like **** I gotta loose wire or somthing. I pulled all the wires and redid them and checked all the fuses. to no avail, I still couldnt get any sound out of em. I pulled the sub out of the box to check the wiring...

i messed up and got that stuff it it sticky on one side and a shingle on the other

its not the same texture on both sides. onside is rubberish with the adheasive and the other side is got ashpualt topcoat much like shingles.

I bought some peel and seal awhile back but I havent got around to use it. I pulled it out today and I noticed its the granulated, it has almost like a sand paper like topcoat. Will it work the same but just rough on the top side? or am I ****ed . any help would be appreciated.

yea a friend of a friend was actually the one to write it up. He has studied with Dan Wiggins about woofer theory and study. He tried to be really unbiased, wich i think he acomplished that. Its funny to see adires getting there *** handed to them by there own technology and all for a cheaper price.

lol walmart subs are fun to blow up. try wiring a 4 ohm dvc to 8 ohm load and hooking it up to a house outlet. it playsa 60hz tone at 1,800 watts. that was fun to watch. then had to explain to walmart that it was like that when i got it. smelled like a burnt taco fishy smell
