I would prefer to wire it at 4-Ohm vs. 1-Ohm. The hifonics at 4-Ohm is 450RMS for one sub and I have two so it'd be 225w to each sub. not good. The ab vfl is a little too much $$$$

Does changing the sub from 4-Ohms to 1-Ohm change the wattage of the sub itself? Lets say I had a 400w RMS at 4-Ohm and I wired it to a 2-Ohm. Would it be 400w RMS at 2-Ohm then?
