Sub wires came out of amp, gotta fix and I don't want to open my box. Can it be done?

I don't remember which wire goes to which terminal on my amp. I just have one 4ohm sub. 2 speaker wires sticking out of the box, and I don't really wanna unscrew the whole thing. I'm terrible with screws. Can I use a multimeter to figure this out?

yep. i dont have sub outs, so they are in the rear outs.

So you are saying that I should just check the HU to make sure its grounded.

    Headunit sending DC voltage?

Could that actually be the reason? Can I replace a fuse or something?

what do you mean the reading is wrong? ive been told 14.4V while the car is on is what i want.

    Headunit sending DC voltage?

This needs a bump. There is around 50mV going through the ground wire, 14.4V going through the power, remote, AND the RCA cable. Why is the RCA cable doing this? I've replaced it twice, so it's not the cables.

After countless weeks of testing everything I could do by myself, I went to my friend's house. He recently ripped apart his system, so we had parts to spare. I put my sub box in his trunk, and tested the sub. Perfect. So, since we knew his amp worked with my sub, we put my sub box back in my car...

How much voltage should go through my remote wire while my car is on?

Oh. Ok thanks I just wanted to make sure. I'm slowly running through all my options.

My connectors for my power/ground cables barely hold the cables in. Can I replace?

Oh. Lol. Right. I always assumed it was the whole cube's fault.

My connectors for my power/ground cables barely hold the cables in. Can I replace?

Ok, before I start, I don't know the terms for what I am saying. Alright. On my amp (I have no idea if this is standard or not, so I'll assume no for the sake of this post) I have 3 little cubes that I hook my cables into. Power, remote, and ground. I have to use a Hex wrench set to loosen or...

How much voltage should go through my remote wire while my car is on?

I checked the voltage running through my remote wire and I got 14.4v. The same as running through my power wire. Is that right? If not, why is this so and how can I fix it.

How to use my pen-style digital multimeter? No instructions

I'm afraid I don't understand. The negative terminal on the power wire? Whats the ground spot?

How to use my pen-style digital multimeter? No instructions

Alright. I have this pen-style digital voltometer thing. All I want to do is check voltage. Yesterday, I went to Circuit City, and they checked voltage for me. He did something with the voltometer on the 2 battery leads, and saw that he got 12 volts. So then next, he did something with the red...

    Headunit sending DC voltage?

I replaced the RCA cables, and it still doesnt work. I bought a Voltometer, checked the ground wire, and made sure there was no voltage going through it. I made sure there was voltage running through the remote wire and the power wire. STill doesnt work.
