Those over the Z? At almost 5k Watts? I hear X are really only low end monsters without much top or musicality. I want it to still sound decent and be able to reproduce higher frequencies for rock etc. the xxx or hd would just be experimental honestly.

I would be trading my xfls for one xxxv2d2 and I’d order one more, or I’d give my xfls to my girlfriend and pickup a pair of HD’s. Long term I want sundown Z’s or ssa zcon but I have a little while to wait.

Twisted Sounds 3.5k at half ohm, so at least 4000-5000 Watts rms between the two.

I have a ts3.5k amp on two American bass xfl12’s in a 5 cubic foot box tuned to 30 hz. I’m not sure where to set the subsonic filter for optimal results. I’ve read to set 1/3 octave below tuning frequency but I’m not sure how to calculate that. Thanks guys

Yeah I’ve noticed. I unfortunately have never heard either in person, but have heard many good things about both. If I was doing two 12s on a twisted sounds 3.5k at half ohm, they’re both getting right about 5k. Just not sure which to get

Ended up going with the hertz 163 three way component set. Now I’m getting questions about active and passive crossovers for the set and that’s something I truly have no knowledge on.

Aside from sealing up the doors which I will have done much better in the future, I found a set of hertz 163 for $400. I’ve always thought good things about them but never heard them, would they be worth it?

I know there is some deadening material in my doors, other than that maybe not too much. I’ve never had much midbass, even with the xxx set which has a ton of raving reviews about midbass on sonicelectronix, yet it didn’t sound right to me (and a tweeter blew).

Any clue if they’re deeer than the re xxx? I already had a custom bracket made for those for depth.
