I know it's a lot but that 3 grand also included a few extra parts, my car was also there for quite a while. These guys are in pretty high demand and they only work on a per vehicle basis. I had to wait a while before my car was brought in. Trust me I shopped arround before I brought my car...

Thanks... I had the keg in my last system, this time I went with the 60G Ipod and kenwood interface.

The logo is sitting on the trim panel which has about a four inch clearance from the actual port on the box, there is also an idditional 1/2 inch spacer between the logo and the Trim. Also the port on the left is blank.... just for looks.

I agree... We had to leave for Nopi the day before those pics were taken... It's been taken care of though.

I have a newbie question on building a slot port for a 13W7. JL Audio recommends the port to be "2.0 in x 15.75 in x 25.375 in". My question is what if I made two ports with the same width and height but devide the length by two. So basically two ports measuring "2.0 in x 15.75 in x 12.687...

Thanks for the tip, by your reaction I think I'll be going with a ported setup also. I'll be using the new JL Audio ZR components up front and their XRs in the back door, and will post pics of the setup when it's done.

I definately like the second better... very nice setup. My car goes under the knife this thursday, I will be using the same sub with a 1001. I know that ported box must quake, but how does is sound playing "music"? Is it very responsive? Are your surround speakers able to keep up?
