Would they sound alright if I had the type R speakers off the Head unit for now untill I can afford an amp? And which amp guys?

I'm considering either getting Alpine type R 6.5' component fronts and coaxle 6x9's or RF Punch's.. So pretty much middle of the road there.. Also should I get an amplifier and if so which one should I go for? Cheers guys

Thanks mate that's exactly what I wanted to hear, I want them to last a while so I reckon I'll go component then.. But is an amp worth the few hundred dollar investment? Even the basic ones? And bloke as in you're a top bloke. Aussie way for dude I guess.

Well when I was in the store the bloke goes on about how alpine have the best head units but for speakers Rockford are better/as good. It's impossible to tell the quality of the speakers in a big store though.. Well regardless of which brand speakers I get, what about the coaxle speakers vs...

Well it's really a choice between kenwood, pioneer, alpine and RF. Their the only brands these guys sell at this place i'm getting it installed at.
