    sub wiring question

Please don't flame me, I couldn't find the answer via search. For a D2 sub wired to 1ohm, would taking both +/- speaker wires from amp and plugging them in on the same side, and from there patching both to the other set of terminals be the same as + from amp on one side and - from amp on the other?

Subs in a boat, have a few questions.

I've tried quite a few subs in different setups/boxes on my boat over the years, and can tell you ported facing the hull is the absolute best option. I'm familiar with the Crownline, my brother in law has a pretty nice LPX Here's a couple vids of my boat with a Sundown zv3 15 on a 2400w amp...

Help with sub on my boat (Video)

Yeah, I'm sure that's a decent little woofer, but there's absolutely no way I could go from a 15" on a 2400.1 to that woofer. I put too much time and money into batteries and crap, plus it's fun to see others at party cove freak out when I turn it up.

Help with sub on my boat (Video)

hehe...Advantage Boats. A Bayliner would have been in pieces by now. It's a 22ft open bow, but does not have the bow cushion in the middle. It's narrow, looks like a mini-off shore boat. The only option I have is under the console. If I fired the sub/port out, hull flex would not be an issue...

Help with sub on my boat (Video)

Hi guys, I'd appreciate any tips or opinions with my dilemma. I have a slot port box with a Sundown Z15 v3 on my boat, under the driver console. The sub and port are both firing at the hull which caused too much flexing and overtime will cause damage to my boat. Due to the size of the box, I...

2003 BMW 330i sedan... port through ski pass or through rear deck openings?

I'm getting ready to do an install on my GF's Mercedes C300, and have similar issues. Unfortunately, she doesn't even have a ski pass! It's all metal behind the back seat. I'd do subs facing the rear if I were you, but I'm no expert. In the C300 I plan to drill a lot of 2.5" holes in the metal...

    Boat sub enclosure help

oh wow...something I know about. Allow me to share my experience. Ironically, I had to exact same sub you had the last 2 seasons on my boat. I think doing a sealed enclosure is kind of a waste. You definitely want ported if you want output. If you have a ported enclosure on a boat the best place...

    Irregular box? help

Hi guys, just had a question on an enclousre I'm trying to do in a Mercedes C300. I'm using a 15" treo ssi. The C300 has a slope in the back that would prevent me from pushing a box all the way back. I don't want to do any angle cuts on the box, since I've already proven to myself that I'm not...

    TREO SSI 15 questions

I also wanted to add that I have the choice of using an Exile 1200.1 or a Hifonics Bxi 2008d. I planned on using the Exile, since I don't think the electrical in a Mercedes C300 will like the 2008d. Any suggestions?
