Unless i am misunderstanding your question, what about rabbeting BOTH the wood on the back and the glass on the front. You'll need a little thicker glass though. See crappy paint drawing.

Looking for some opinions on a good match to compliment the following components. PCE 216's up front ID12D4 V.3's in the rear deck (free air) The mid-bass would be in the quarters. I have no idea what areas the ID's and MB's are lacking to make this decision. Please help!! Thanks

The subs haven't been decided. I've been going over a few different plans with building an enclosure for my JL's and nothing seemed right. So i need to get some free air 12's that'll work with my crossfire 150.2. Any thoughts?

I'm more worried that the sound will be affected with something 1 inch from it and on an angle like that. I don't know enough about the physics, that's why i asked. Thanks:)

Would it NOT be a good idea to fire two free air 12's from this deck with the window being so close and on such a sharp angle?

Love their components, don't know a thing about their subs. Probably wouldn't use them with their components. I'd rather have a different style woofer. Since i am still wet behind the ears, i'd like to know what you all think!

OK, i wanted to put the crossovers for my pce 216's in the kick panels up front but there was not enough room. Would there be any problem locating these in the trunk and having the wires from the crossover to the speakers (tweets and 6.5) be about 10 feet apart? Sorry, new at this chit...
