I switched the power/ground wires between the two amps and it didn't change anything...the sub amp works fine but the JL amp still powers on then shuts off.. could it be going into some kind of protection mode? maybe a blown fuse? anything?

I would but I don't have a different car to try it in... Could I try switching the wires between teh two amps?

Yea, all the wiring checks out in my eyes atleast...especially since one amp works and the other doesn't and theyre both hooked up to the same connectioions.. and i know the tires shouldnt matter..it's just weird I got it back and now they don't work..

Yea sorry for the shitty post I had to hurry before the bell rang for 2nd period.. It's either 2 10" Type R's or 2 10" DB-500's going in a single cab Ranger with about .7cu for each sub to work with.. Is there no way to tell by looking at the specs which one will get louder?

In terms of SPL which one will win out? Tc Sounds DB-500 vs. Alpine Type R
