Rockford AMPS are nice but way to expensive, I do agree. There subs though wooo. For installations who are not looking for 800+ rms, I always always recommend to go with a fostgate series. I have had experience with all 3 of there mid-line stages, and honestly they just blow the other contenders...

Cross over on the comps? I sliced the stock wires in the door and wired the positive lead to the positive and the negative to the negative lol? Did I miss something? And there shouldn't be any distortion even if the stock hu's bass was turned all the way up. There wasn't on the previous speakers...

All you have to do is fashion the tweeter into the A pillar... Its an easy process if your good with tools...

The bass on the stock HU is in the middle... With the stock front comps I use to be able to turn it up all the way with no distortion. After putting these in I get distortion below the middle setting, it's very bamboozling lol. No cross over... Stock hu doesn't have that pre-sett... i Think...

I recently installed these comps in my front doors on a Chevy cobalt lt in place of the stock speakers. Ever since installing them my bass levels on my car have become distorted. I blew my back pioneer speakers cause of this and now the bass is distorted on the front speakers. Please help guys...

Okay I went and baught an enclosure from q-logic and it came with pre-wired 16 Gauge speaker wire.... The gauge wasn't enough for the subs I'm pushing so I ripped it out along with the terminals...went and baught NEW terminals and soldered the metal wire to the new terminals I baught and than...

If thats DVC... Than there SVC... The site however says DVC.... doesnt have the 4 terminals on the speaker...just two... So I was going to run them parellel to either 4ohm or 2ohm...right? 400-500 watt amp...

Sub in question is a Pioneer Model.. 2x TSW-301R http://www.cardomain.com/item/PIOTSW301R DVC 4ohm 150 RMS each.... Basically 'm not understanding.. RMS is basically what your sub can put out continusley.. and max watts is it's peaking ability... Now if I ran a 500watt amp to it in...

Not total just mostly... And I thought that going over the RMS of the sub WITH the AMP....would cause disstortion, cone rips and so on... anyone want to break it down?

There 150 Each...4ohm DVC I think... There the pioneer ones from walmart...800watts...forget the model number. So that means I need a 300 watt AMP since there both 150RMS?
