I did a pretty stupid move the other day and I bought the SWR-1222D. I only have one and the Alpine M605. I thought I would be able to run the 1222D at 2 ohms but I cant its either 1 or 4 ohms. Is there a way to run the sub on a single voice coil at 2 oms or would I have to get the SWR-1242D...

How can I wire the SWR-1222D so it makes a 2ohm load on my amp. I have 1 sub and 1 amp. I was looking around and the only way looks like I would have to only use one voice coil does that sound right. And If I do use one voice coil do you think thats safe? Thanks

I dont think I would call it blown, it looks like it just ripped.

Anyone else have a M605 and Alpine Type R what are your settings around with your amp. I wish they made a remote for this amp. Im really thinking about getting an alpine h/u and install it in my top glovebox (g35 has two) just to use as a bass control.

What do you think would be the cause of the sub blowing. Here are pics of what the sub looks like.

I have a Alpine 1222 Type R and an Alpine M605 amp with a 1.25 Q-logic box in a G35 The rms on the amp is 600 watts and it blew my Type R a few days ago. Im thinking about getting the same sub or the Type X. Do you think 1.25 ft ported box is too small for the R becuase the box can be sealed...
