Ive noticed that most car speakers advertise by max watts, with rms after, should i buy an amplifier based on rms? or max? ive never had anything to do with amplifiers before and im rather new to car audio as a whole

The front doors have slots cut out specifically for 6x9 is there an adapter piece or something?
