    ok lets say thats the case (it just may be) what do i do with that third wire? why have i never had this prob before???

    ok now you have me really retracing my steps . . . i had 3 orange wires . . . 2 from the new deck? one from the harness? guessing here i was in a hurry. i MAY have tied them all together not paying attention . . . but that would leave one orange wire unused?

    I installed a new head unit in a 2001 accord today and just got a call from them saying thier dash lights were out. fuses check out ok. i used a wiring harness. The only thing i can think of is the orange illumination wires? but why would that take out the dash lights? any ideas?

    ya this kid isn't going to know any of that . . . prefab box, he wants me there incase something goes wrong and to tweak a few things. Just thought there might be a general standard to use because i know that the first note will be the loudest so i want to try and burp it.

    wouldn't mind checking out the prices for a screen but would relly like a nice display if a screen is too much.

    need to put a HU in a 2001 honda accord and it has the DD HU. any suggestions on a DD? i have seen a few from kenwood, pioneer and clarion but none of them jumped out at me.
