judging from that, you should be safe cutting the adapter off and hardwiring.

are we talking about the cig lighter on the car being busted or the adapter on the unit being busted? either way, it can be fixed. easily. find another power source in the car, or hardwire the GPS unit into the cars wiring. problem solved.

as long as you understand what you are doing, they are fine to use. but be careful that you can get yourself into trouble with both of those if you dont understand what it is that they are doing...

i didnt look at those threads but i still maintain that it has to be an isolated incident or a bad batch of them. because mine definitly doesnt have that problem.

well, then it might not be "your" tv, but it is definitly "that tv" thats not typical of a good dlp. again, my samsung has pristine picture quality that holds its shape all the time without a keystone error at all. and even when my screen is dirty, i still dont get any negative effects from it.
