i'm confused..i was under the impression that even if you turn the gains down it can still give the subwoofer too much power and blow it?? can somebody explain this to me.
i was lookin at a mach 5 Maw-15 and the MJ-18's, however, my amp puts out 657WRMS @ 2 ohms and 456WRMS @ 4 ohms, which is either too much power or not enough power for all of the subs..
well, this thread taught me a whole lot . i think i'm going to go with either a Mach 5 15" or 18". what do you guys think i should tune the box to? is 35 good? i'm looking for SQ, but i want it to be kind of loud too.
I have one 15" JBL GTO1504D and I was wondering how much power you think it could take? It's rated at 300WRMS, but I hear of people giving it much more than that.. How much power do you think i could give it constantly?
i was talking to my buddy and he told me i should go with either some 10's or 12's if i play mainly hiphop and techno because they will move faster.. would these be better than say a 15"?
OH MY GOD YOU FOUND THE SUBWOOFER OF MY DREAMMMSS!!! i knew it was out there...honestly though, i could see that kid trying to hook that thing up in his car and saying it takes like 2500w
i'm wondering if he has an infinity kappa perfect and thinks its titanium series? i don't know...haha, just looking to replace my 15" with a sub that can take like 700wrms.
this kid is trying to tell me he has a 10" infinity reference titanium series sub that can take 2500watts[i don't know how many wrms it can take, he never said] has anyone ever heard of these?
