    no one seems to have offered a single answer to his original question. It may not be the optimal setup, but he obviously doesn't have many choices, or the desire to do a lot of modification. I don't know much about 5.25 inch speakers and am actually looking for some myself, i hope i get more...

    i have a junky megasound sub that i got real cheap, but i plan on upgrading to a nice one once i save up a bit of money. its a 15" 500 watt RMS like i said. i have the stock 4" door speakers but i will be upgrading to some 5.25 inch or 6.5 inch ones if i can squeeze them in (doubt it)

    alright. i am still open to suggestions, that one doesn't seem very widely available on ebay, etc. but it looks decent. what do you think of replacing my 4" door speakers with my 6x9s, and cutting out a bit extra of the panel? (or not even bother with the cutting?)

    it's a "Megasound" subwoofer. i found little to nothing as far as specs go on the internet, and im pretty sure its a low-quality sub i just want something that can give me adequate power. are you saying that you wouldnt' amplify the 6x9s? if so, why? not much gain as far as sound quality goes...
