MX's will be louder; double the cone area.... and if you're interested in SPL all you have to do is buy a bigger amp in the future.

Lot's of cone area, efficient subs, efficient box... it's going to get loud I wouldn't call it a shitty install if it's getting that loud. People get too hung up on wattage these days

I'm not sure how stuck you are on 10's but the Stereo Integrity Mag D2 would be sweet for your application. They only make them in 12in though.

He said "ported should have more excursion.. ESP under tuning freqency" We all know subs unload under tuning freq, if your subsonic is on and the box is designed properly ported will generally reduce sub excursion.

I don't think it's worth the money. If you listen to lots of rap it should be a lot louder down low, like below 30hz, but above that I don't know if it will be much louder. Give it a shot and let us know how it sounds! Maybe you can sell the 15 and buy two twelves and port those...

I think it's good. Nice equipment, everything looks neat and laid out nicely, the wiring looks organized and everything's solidly mounted. As far as the doors go, the addition of the second grill for the mid was unnecessary (unless the mid is mounted to the panel itself I can't tell).
