a little of topic here, although i am definitely waiting for the nightshade v3 18's, do have any idea on when the emf ermagerd will be ready for purchase? two or maybe four of those would be nice instead of four nightshade 18's. i guess witch ever one comes out first will be in mah next build...

any idea what the air space requirements will be for the 15's and 18's? thinking about building another box for my z18v.3's until the nightshades come out. just wondering if i should build it slightly larger or diff port area.

what kind of power did you make, and at what voltages if i may ask.

ok then, ill stay above 12.65 until my other alternators get here. that way i wont have to take the subs out of the box when i do a spl contest. i can fit two big alts on my truck and maybe three with some mods to the inner fender. these amps should last this way for a few years if i can keep...

if i am indeed at .5 strapped then what would you say is a safe working voltage to try and stay in?

well it just seems like they should be louder at .25 each. when i had one m3a on both subs at .5, my voltage dropped to 12.2. if i have two m3a at .25 on the same setup then it should be dropping to like 8.7 volts or something. it doesnt add up. the wiring says .5, but the performance says 2 ohm

no but all my wires going from the subs to the amps are 4g so it shouldnt increase too much from subs to amps

well im not extremely familiar with how amps react when strapped together but i am posotive that my subs are dual 2 ohm/each sub is wired in parallel to 1 ohm/and the two subs together are wired in parallel to .5 ohm final load

havent officially clamped yet but on burps my voltage can dip down to low 10's

yeah , i thought since the amps were wired together with the signal similar to series that it would increase the final load to each amp

this has been my daily driver for five months with no problems. i only take the amps into clipping(via the dd bass knob) for some demos

sorry, i posted before reading thread. i know that by strapping two amps together they act as one large amp but i thought that by running the current from the subs, through one amp, through another amp, and back to the subs would raise the impedance. if my amps are at .25 ohm each then...

so im at 2 ohms strapped?

i have two dd m3a strapped together on two dual 2 ohm voice coils. the 2ohm coils are wired parallel to give 1ohm per sub and both subs are wired parallel to give a final load of 1/2 ohm. does this mean my amps are at 1/2 ohm strapped ? in the dd manual it says not to bring speaker impedance...

just curious if there are any spl competition classes that do not require the box,subs or amps to be behind the ''b'' pliiar of a vehicle. i have a single cab chevy walled off with two 18'' subs and my amps are both in the console. been looking on the internet for awhile and it seems they all...
