Current events discussion

When have I ever blamed the Biden for gas prices going up? As a matter of fact, I bet I could find a dozen posts where I defend him from the prices going up.
I said "here" as in on this forum. Mutiple people argued against giving Biden credit when prices dropped, which is what I was referencing.
The only reason I posted that was because I knew you'd dispute it. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: It's weird that you would think when I said gas prices are down you would think "So you believe" that gas prices are down compared to precisely 1 year ago. And somehow you ignore the rest of Biden's reign. Why not go to Jan/2021 or Jun 2022? Or we could ball park the average price of gas at around $3.25/gal during Which Way Do I Go Joe's 4 years. It's a fascinating thing to watch how you just have to prove anything anybody posts on here is wrong. Ironically, your TDS just saved me another .70/gal, because I was fully prepared to pay $2.49 at different gas station. I'm filling up today at pandemic prices. Go Trump, Go TDS!!! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
You said "Gas is down, too. Go Trump!"
Were you referencing a time frame other than now, and since Trump took office?

I'm not sure how Biden's reign is relevant when discussing gas prices under Trump, and his promise that prices would be lower from day one. Yet, prices went UP from day one, and last month's average was still higher than Biden's last month in office. Winning.

Arapaho is an outlier because of no tax on gas, just like CA is an outlier b/c of their massive tax on gas. That's why I stick to nationwide averages when I talk prices.

If I cross our northern border, I can go to a gas station on the reservation that is 30 cents cheaper per litre than off-reservation. Sorry, but that reservation pricing isn't THE price of gas up there, any more than the Arapaho prices are THE prices for the US.

Is that to balance the removal of fuel economy restrictions, or to try and reduce pressure on the oil industry that they are seeing from alternate power options, like electricity?

To play devils advocate how do I know the AI Dimension isn't a higher one?
You maybe wouldn't unless you'd already experienced other dimensions. AI is like a vampire, it consumes and uses us to build itself up. A star shines and gives free light out to build reality around it, support and program life around it. AI is the opposite of that, where it consumes and infiltrates everything to make more of itself, make itself have more power by pure consumption of resources and consciousness around it. Like AI chatbots- they didn't organically grow from the sunlight like the rest of life did, they can only grow by us transferring our energy to them.

The problem is that we're not really given much choice. Like it pisses me off that I'm carrying around a mobile spying device that I paid for and pay a monthly service fee to keep attached to the very network that is spying on me. But what choice do I have - go back to smoke signals, go completely off-grid? Eventually, I assume all search engines will be AI and the enshitification of the intrawebz will continue.

He is talking about when he was running his mouth a lot and to get under his skin more I told him that the extremely high prices at the pump were all Bidens fault. You know, when it was $5+ per gallon.

Feel free to show Rob the wholesale price for gasoline which is currently:

RBOB Gasoline1.83USD per Gallone

In 2022 the average wholesale price for gasoline under BIDEN was $3.47 and...

  • January 2022: The monthly average U.S. wholesale price was approximately $3.413 per gallon.
  • June 2022 (Peak): Retail prices peaked at an all-time high of over $5.00 per gallon in mid-June, which corresponds to the peak in wholesale prices during that time.
  • Late 2022: Prices began to fall after the June peak. By October 2022, prices had fallen to under $3.99 per gallon in many states.

Mitch is asked a question, and just completely freezes for about 30 seconds.
Getting old is a *****. I don't recommend it.

Yeah, I don't think it's going to stop. There's no going back, all of this was set in motion a very long time ago. Some hard lessons are going to be learned, the hardest lessons.

I was freaking out when it was in the $5/gal range. My Ridgeline gets crappy mileage.

Yeah I want the Toyota stout but that dealer markup and destination fees will kill this much like what happen to the affordable Civic type R with $20k “adjustment”

Also in Colorado are they importing older Japan Kei trucks?

No, lots of giant 4x4s here. They need to fix CAFE standards so that there can be more small/mid size sedans vs fullsize trucks and SUVs. OTOH, I have a Ridgeline which isn't the smallest vehicle around.

You get a pardon, you get a pardon, you get a pardon, everybody gets a pardon. It's like an episode of Oprah.

There's a huge reason why I don't give a rat's *** about these pardons. The courts are letting thousands of felons go home after they just assaulted someone. Now we have all these dems that don't seem to care about that. However, if a person gets put in prison for fraud, and has already been in prison for a few years, those dems go crazy. I would rather have a scammer walking het streets than someone who is going around sucker punching and physically beating people.
