Current events discussion

I don't think he cares that much. He bought Twitter at loss, not to mention the massive tax hit he took. And then he told advertisers to F-off. Musk is clearly fine with burning money for a greater purpose. But not to worry; apparently there are people who can document Elon & Trump's theft.
And yet the SEC is going after him for said purchase of Twitter.
He failed to disclose the 5% stake he had before buying it, which benefitted him financially. Oops.

I guess $67 Billion is nothing, but $150 million is worth breaking the law over.

I mean, word for word. The same talking points.
Ahhhh, the old "repetition of a lie makes it true" ploy.
Wash, rinse, repeat.

I'm sorry, is this not the Trump being Trump thread?
It sure is. Yet, here you are lying about things I have posted, inferred, or intimated.

Are you saying that lying is "Trump being Trump", and you are here to emulate his actions?

How can the two of you lie like you do and then repeat talking points from CNN claiming you don't watch the news? Do you just assume Republicans don't have Democrat family members?

Nope.

I would suspect my requests for you to prove that I "lie like I do" would now be in the dozens, but I'll do it anyway.
PLEASE show me ONE instance where I have lied on this forum. A verbatim quote or a screenshot/screensnip will be sufficient evidence for you to provide.
ONE INSTANCE.

No, I do not watch the infotainment that people call "the news". I do not have cable. I do not have satellite. I do not even have my TV hooked up to an antenna for terrestrial signal. I couldn't watch the nightly news if I wanted to.

Do you just assume Republicans don't have Democrat family members?
That's a ridiculous premise.
Why would you be inclined to ask that question?

What was it I lied about?
Your neverending (yet wholly unsubstantiated) claims that I lie in my posts here.
The "three doctors" who told you bones do not have nerves in them.
The "several doctors" that told you the vax was a scam.
The claim that "not even the doctors and scientist know if it will be effective" (regarding the COVID vax), when there was already a ton of irrefutable proof that it was very effective.
Your claim that bones do not have nerves in them.
Your claim that Biden broke the law when he sold oil from the SPR.
Your claim that the fires and destruction at WTC could not have been the result of the planes crashing into the towers, with the ensuing fuel dump.
Your claim that ****** identity is formed solely by the genitals, yet you can't tell us the correct identity for a intersex person.
Your claim that audio derived from a digital format is a "blocky waveform".
Your claim that Trump is not complicit in any way for Jan 6th because "people make their own decisions", yet the immigrants "surged the border" because "Biden told them to".
Your many claims that the election was "stolen" in 2020 and that you knew the proof of it. Proof that not even Trump could produce.
That a quote such as this: "assume Republicans don't have Democrat family" -ThxOne is not a verbatim quote, and is an alteration of your words.

Is that a good start? There are tons more.
Must have been just another of your "non-sequiturs".

How did he benefit from having a 5% stake and then driving the price down? He would have had to sell his stake after he drove the price up to benefit. Instead he hung on to his stake, paid above market price and took a huge tax hit to pull the deal off.

First, we'll get the law out of the way. He broke it:
  • On January 14, 2025, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filed a complaint against Elon Musk for failing to timely file a beneficial ownership report under Section 13 of the U.S. Securities Exchange Act of 1934 disclosing his acquisition of more than 5% of the outstanding shares of common stock of Twitter, Inc.
Here is where the $150M comes into play:
"The Complaint alleges that because of Mr. Musk’s failure to publicly disclose his beneficial ownership of Twitter’s outstanding common stock by March 24, 2022, Mr. Musk paid at least $150 million less for the shares of Twitter common stock he purchased between March 25 and April 1, 2022 than he would have had he made a timely beneficial ownership report filing. The Complaint further alleges that Mr. Musk’s failure to make a timely filing resulted in substantial economic harm to investors selling Twitter common stock during that period because they sold their shares at artificially low prices, as Mr. Musk’s ownership had not yet been priced into the market."

The times you and whats his name repeat the same talking points that CNN and the like instruct you libby's to repeat.

Stop lying. You are making it sound like you instruct CNN and the like to repeat YOUR talking points.
That's a ridiculous premise.
Why would you be inclined to ask that question?
It's what I do.... I uncover the truth.
