You don't strike me as a person who does more for no reason. Case in point, your obsessive need to prove people wrong for self gratification. So either you are lying about getting bonuses or you do not do more than need for your alleged job.

Just because you lay around doing nothing unless you need extra money for beer, doesn't mean we are all as lazy as you.
Unlike you, I have a work ethic and will always do what is required, and then some. Lend me a hand, I'll return the favor in spades. Lend me a tool, I'll return it in better condition than you gave it to me. Hire me, I'll work to outproduce everyone so I can get a promotion.

Gotta agree with Rob. The job sector has created tons of low paying jobs. Unfortunately, I don't know if there is an easy solution. Will we just bring back a bunch manufacturing jobs, but they don't pay any better than coffee batista???

No need to agree with him. The point was he lied claiming we SAID there were 10's of millions of jobs to move too. He is also assuming that ALL of the minimum wage worker want to move to higher paying job which is the only way his number holds water. Rob, show proof that all of the minimum wage workers in the US want to move to a higher paying job or admit your mistake.

just like everything else, the answer is both. You are forced to breath. If you don't, you will die. Every decision you make will end up in a consequence. Unfortunately, we do not always have the right, or ability, to choose the consequence we desire. If you voluntarily have *** and get pregnant, you should be ready to face the consequences. Not try to create a fantasy world where you believe you can control nature by naming it something else.

None of those things relate to a government employee's check being paid by the taxpayers...

Some government employees actually improve economic growth...police, the various road departments, things of that nature...your job doesn't improve economic growth...hence no room to call anyone out for sponging...

Rob does not work for the government. At best, he works for a contractor who has a contract with the government, but the government doesn't have any contracts with fast food restaurants, so Rob does not work for the government in any shape or form.

The issue is that too many people don't see the big picture. I bet the following hypothetical would not be understood by 80-90% of the people who read it:

Imagine a society of 1,000 people. They all work for the one company that exists, making a product they all consume as fast as it is produced. They must buy the product.
They all get paid $10 per hour. The item they make must be sold at double what it costs to make.

How long will it take before things fail?

Now, let's scale it up to a country.
Bring all mfg back to America. Employers will only pay employees 1/5 to 1/3 of their output.
The employees now must buy the product for 3-5X what they got paid to make it.
How fast do they spend all they earned, and have to buy on credit?

And people wonder why we buy goods from China at 1/5 what we'd have to pay for them if made here...
