To be accurate, Trump "pulled us out of Afghanistan." Biden merely followed thru on Trump's commitment. As for the equipment left behind, that's a drop in the bucket and well worth the cost of GTFO of Afghanistan and would have happened under any administration.
Trump started the process. The process was to strengthen the Afghanistan army before we pulled out. Those weapons were to be used by the Afghanistan army, but much of the powerful machinery was to be sent back to the US. However, Biden just pulled us out without finishing the training, and demanded all the equipment to be left, including much of our powerful equipment, such as attack helicopters. Now that ISIS has control of all that stuff, they will stay in control of Afghan. Also, Trump would not have left military behind. As for the American civilians that were left, I almost don't feel bad for them. They were given plenty of time to get out, but stayed because they didn't think Biden was seriously moving all the troops out. However, Biden left American soldiers behind. That is not something I will turn my back on.

I don't know why anyone attempts to have a political conversation with Democrats, especially far left Democrats. My roommates wife is such a far left person. She gets so triggered and can't have a rational political conversation without almost immediately bashing Trump. She actually claims to be afraid that if Trump is elected that the cops will be here to arrest her because she donated to the left. I told her I am pretty sure even if Trump IS elected she has nothing to worry about. She got hysterical. She started raising her voice, talking fast, she started pacing back and forth talking about how a judge has already made it legal to do so. I mean the level of dementia these people have is comical to me.

She then started talking about how abortion is now banned. SMH. It's like they don't pay attention they just want to freak out about anything and everything. She mentioned how her friend isn't allowed to get pregnant now because of Trump. I said if he doesn't wear a condom and doesn't pull out she could get pregnant and it is still legal no matter who you vote for. She mentioned how they need fertility help or something but I tuned out by then. She was bitching about everything except Inflation, the cost of fuel, the cost of food, interest rates, mortgages, immigration (though she touched on it a little bit), open or closed borders.

She mentioned something about civil unrest coming and I said well the Republicans aren't the violent ones to worry about and you should have seen the look of disbelief on her face. I said well what have they been violent about. She ended the conversation because "we don't see eye to eye politically". I said well, when you shut down the conversation when you hear something you don't like, how can you ever see eye to eye?

I love it when these Democrats start crying. I have been told that everything that comes out of Trumps mouth, is a lie. My dad actually told me this today. Do you Democrats agree with that?

Here, another Democrat told me this. Trump said if he is elected he is going to do "this". Then the claim was made that Trump does everything he says he will do.

So which is it? He does what he says he will do or everything he says is a lie?

This is what I see. When he says he is going to do something that Democrats don't like, he is going to do it and Democrats try to find some way to dramatically scare people about it. If he claims he is going to do or has done anything else... he is a liar.

My dad made the claim that Trump will get rid of social security. I said well if he was going to do that why didn't he do it when he was President for 4 years? I said if everything that comes out of his mouth is a lie then if he made that claim, social security must be safe. Otherwise, you are being dramatic.

It’s a word spin that the media and talking heads love doin… current spin is trump wanted Liz Cheney a$$a$$inated. What he actually said “She’s a radical war hawk. Let’s put her with the rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her. OK, let’s see how she feels about it. You know, when the guns are trained on her face.”

Biden already extended the pull out date at least once. Two the equipment was there for US troops. Both Trump and Biden knew the Taliban would overthrow the puppet regime. Hell Trump came in and unilaterally released Taliban fighters from prison to help defeat ISIS in Afghanistan because the puppet regime wasn't up to the tasks. The lost equipment was just the cost of GTFO of Afghanistan, which was never going to be neat and orderly.

Feeling really good about my ballot being counted and counted properly. Personally I don't care about my POTUS vote since Colorado is solidly Kamala, but there are lots of other votes I'm concerned about. For example, I voted against all the judges that abused their judicial power and attempted to keep Trump off the Colorado ballot. I voted to increase spending on law enforcement. I can't believe there isn't some sort of cyber security team monitoring for shyt like this.

When President Trump took office in 2017, there were more than 10,000 troops in Afghanistan. Eighteen months later, after introducing more than 3,000 additional troops just to maintain the stalemate, President Trump ordered direct talks with the Taliban without consulting with our allies and partners or allowing the Afghan government at the negotiating table.
In September 2019, President Trump emboldened the Taliban by publicly considering inviting them to Camp David on the anniversary of 9/11. In February 2020, the United States and the Taliban reached a deal, known as the Doha Agreement, under which the United States agreed to withdraw all U.S. forces from Afghanistan by May 2021. In return, the Taliban agreed to participate in a peace process and refrain from attacking U.S. troops and threatening Afghanistan’s major cities—but only as long as the United States remained committed to withdraw by the agreement’s deadline.
As part of the deal, President Trump also pressured the Afghan government to release 5,000 Taliban fighters from prison, including senior war commanders, without securing the release of the only American hostage known to be held by the Taliban. Over his last 11 months in office, President Trump ordered a series of drawdowns of U.S. troops. By June 2020, President Trump reduced U.S. troops in Afghanistan to 8,600. In September 2020, he directed a further draw down to 4,500. A month later, President Trump tweeted, to the surprise of military advisors, that the remaining U.S.troops in Afghanistan should be “home by Christmas!”
On September 28, 2021,Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Milley testified that, on November 11, he had received an unclassified signed order directing the U.S. military to withdraw all forces from Afghanistan no later than January 15, 2021. One week later, that order was rescinded and replaced with one to draw down to 2,500 troops by the same date.
During the transition from the Trump Administration to the Biden Administration, the outgoing Administration provided no plans for how to conduct the final withdrawal or to evacuate Americans and Afghan allies. Indeed, there were no such plans in place when President Biden came into office, even with the agreed upon full withdrawal just over three months away.
As a result, when President Biden took office on January 20, 2021, the Taliban were in the strongest military position that they had been in since 2001, controlling or contesting nearly half of the country. At the same time, the United States had only 2,500 troops on the ground—the lowest number of troops in Afghanistan since 2001—and President Biden was facing President Trump’s near-term deadline to withdraw all U.S. forces from Afghanistan by May 2021, or the Taliban would resume its attacks on U.S. and allied troops. Secretary of Defense Austin testified on September 28, 2021, “the intelligence was clear that if we did not leave in accordance with that agreement, the Taliban would recommence attacks on our forces.”
