It's a fact. Just because YOU refuse to use the word "bridged" to describe to things being brought together doesn't make it wrong.

I choose to use words with their correct meaning, not just something I made up to meet my needs.
When describing electronics, I use "bridged" in the same way the engineers who design circuits do.
In the English language, you can't just create your own personal meanings for words, and expect everyone to adhere to that (or even understand you).
