What is?

That information doesn't answer your question any more than simply giving car accident death stats tells us whether it's seatbelts or better tires that reduced deaths.

Look for the study that analyzes the components needed to know if it's the vax, the change in the virus, or both.
Genius, I am asking everyone's OPINIONS. I know that is a foreign subject for you.

Ok who do you think you are to just assume everything is B.S. or a lie???
1. I don't "assume everything" is just a BS or a lie.
2. If someone says something that strikes me as wrong based on my knowledge, I listen to my brain. Sometimes I'll know off the bat that they are slinging BS. Sometimes I will be almost sure, but then do some due diligence to confirm.

For example, tell me that Bill Gates has a Ferrari. With his money, I wouldn't question it for a minute. Tell me that he stole it and you have proof of it, then I am going to question it BC that sure sounds like BS.
Tell me that you had THREE doctors claim to you that bones are not innervated, and I am going to call BS at first blush. There is over a century's worth of medical data that says otherwise. So, I will call the BS and ask that the claim be proved.
Tell me you have an amp in an Altoids tin that will kick out 1,000 watts RMS with two AA batteries, and I will immediately call BS. Tell me you have an amp that weighs less than a pound but will kick out 250 watts RMS at ~110V? Very plausible. But if you tell me it retails for $20 at WalMart, the BS meter spikes.
You know this because you have seen me do it.

You said not long ago that when you saw the quotes from Loy Mauch's letters to an editor, that you felt they were "fabricated". That was your gut feeling.
Did you do anything further than accept your gut feeling, and then continue to argue that the news reports were false narratives? You never gave any indication otherwise.
That also begs the question of why you had the immediate gut feeling that the quoted text was fake? Have you seen a lot of fake quotes? Have you seen a lot of fake quotes intended to make a Republican look bad? Have you seen a lot of fake quotes that were attributed to Loy Mauch?

You knwo why I do what I do. Why do you do what YOU do?

Genius, I am asking everyone's OPINIONS. I know that is a foreign subject for you.
Your sentence is worded in a way that says the info tells us the vax is BS. Almost like a "told you so".
This would not be a surprise, based on your past presentation of being anti-vax.

Is it YOUR opinion that it's the vax, the virus, or both?
But as I said before, that info isn't enough to form a good opinion with.

@RobGMN so can I can an intelligent response to this or are you just gonna keep bickering about personal BS nobody gives two shits about?
Are you asking me to just accept everything you post here as a truth?
If so, can I assume that you accept everything I post as a truth?
If you post the vax is BS and then I post the vax works, does that make mine the truth since I posted AFTER you?

OR...could we possibly look to the facts behind both statements, and decide from there?

So you are basing it on whether YOU think it is believable or not. Your FEELINGS. Got it.

I understand the terminology and clearly you do not but claim you know better and continue to act like you won some kind of prize.

That is your claim of what you think I did. I said what YOU POSTED sounded fabricated. I don't know anything about Mauch.
Did you do anything further than accept your gut feeling, and then continue to argue that the news reports were false narratives? You never gave any indication otherwise.
You just assume I am using or going by gut feelings because you think any non Democrat does that.
That also begs the question of why you had the immediate gut feeling that the quoted text was fake? Have you seen a lot of fake quotes? Have you seen a lot of fake quotes intended to make a Republican look bad? Have you seen a lot of fake quotes that were attributed to Loy Mauch?

So thanks for clearing that up. Your feelings tell you that everything non-democrats say is B.S. or a lie.

So you are basing it on whether YOU think it is believable or not. Your FEELINGS. Got it.
See? You immediately jump to confrontation and ignore what I post.
My gut feeling can be followed by analytical thinking within microseconds. Reference the innervation thing (I keep using it b/c it's a simple example and the discussion has actually happened). You say there are no nerves in bone. My gut instantly says "bull" and my brain follows a nanosecond behind and says "that's not what you learned in school".
But then my brains says "I am not 100% sure", so I dig the Anatomy & Physiology textbook off my bookshelf and confirm what my brain was thinking is indeed true, which is is that bones are indeed innervated.
I understand the terminology and clearly you do not but claim you know better and continue to act like you won some kind of prize.
This is a great example. You keep stating you "know" and "understand" the terminology, but I do not.
Yet, every reference book on the subject says that bones indeed have nerves in them.
Maybe we can find a way to put this one to rest: For fun, can you provide at least three examples of medical texts or reference manuals that specifically declare bones are NOT innervated?
In return, I will provide no less than ten sources that show bones ARE innervated.

We can then let the group analyze both and see which evidence set they consider is most likely true.
That is your claim of what you think I did. I said what YOU POSTED sounded fabricated. I don't know anything about Mauch.
Yes. I said that. I was asking you what triggered your gut feeling since you knew nothing about him at all?
Gut feelings are a really interesting side topic, but they have CAUSES.
With admittedly no knowledge about him, what do you think caused the gut feeling that the quotes I posted were fabricated?
You just assume I am using or going by gut feelings because you think any non Democrat does that.
No, I don't think gut feelings only happen to someone based on their political affiliation. Gut feelings have existed for millenia. It's how we survive.
And it is ironic that you accuse me of that based on your gut feeling, even though you have no proof of it, and could not find proof if you wanted to. Wild stuff.
BUT I will say with certainty that there are people who rely on nothing more than their gut feeling, and will often ignore any facts that tell them their gut is wrong.
Casinos are full of them.
So thanks for clearing that up. Your feelings tell you that everything non-democrats say is B.S. or a lie.
How exactly did you reach that conclusion based on these questions I asked you? I am genuinely curious what thought process brings you there:

That's what I'm asking you to do! And you're still just personal bickering! Well, we're waiting for your intelligent response to what you think about humanity merging with AI and how MRNA and CRISPR both play a role in genetically modifying and hooking up humans to the internet.

OK. So you will accept as truth anything I post that is contrary to your post.
Fair enough.

I think humanity merging with AI is just fine, as long as people always have the right to decline the option.
If I could hook my brain up to the internet and have access to a virtually unlimited wealth of knowledge instantaneously? HOLY SiHT! It'd be like those movie characters who seem to know everything about everything, and can put it to use.
Walk into a gun store and name every gun and every variation, be able to strip it down and reassemble it without having ever touched one before.
Amazing.

Can I get a robotic body too? This trick knee isn;t getting any younger...

ETA - Think of the possibilities of cooking! Just look at the stuff in the fridge and in the pantry, and instantly be able to whip up a gourmet entree. Damn!

Hey Rob, what is the purpose of college? The books are available for pretty much anyone to read so why the need for the professor?
We can then let the group analyze both and see which evidence set they consider is most likely true.
I don't care what the group says. I am talking directly to you.
Yes. I said that. I was asking you what triggered your gut feeling since you knew nothing about him at all?
Gut feelings are a really interesting side topic, but they have CAUSES.

Knowing how biased you are is what "triggered" me.
No, I don't think gut feelings only happen to someone based on their political affiliation. Gut feelings have existed for millenia. It's how we survive.

Also, you ignore peoples responses just to keep talking shit.

To give an analogy: Sneezing into your sleeve is not as good as sneezing into a heavy cloth handkerchief or similar, therefor we should do NEITHER and just sneeze into open air?

Or the obverse, a surgical mask is not as good as wearing a full respirator in air polluted with wildfire smoke., so therefor we should just wear nothing?

That's a weird stance to take.

Confrontation?.... no, that's is what you do. You said so. You assume everything is a lie based on your feelings.
And this is why threads devolve and get shut down or people get post-limited.
You continue to make statements that you can't back up, and you avoid speaking to anything that may show you are wrong. You ignore the facts, and just reiterate your beleifs over and over.
Hey Rob, what is the purpose of college? The books are available for pretty much anyone to read so why the need for the professor?
These days, college is more of a way to show that you are willing to put in the effort and the time to get that degree. TBH, it's become so common that it's what finishing high school USED to be.
Almost anyone with a degree will tell you they could probably be where they are now if they had been hired for the same first job but not had a degree.
On-the-job training is more useful than what you learned in school by far, unless your schooling was job-specific (like technical college).
The prof is there to guide the process and help you when you can;t figure things out yourself.
I don't care what the group says. I am talking directly to you.
Maybe, but you are refusing to accept a century of medical knowledge, and are demanding I accept as fact something that you made up in your head.
So instead of doing it for the group, do it just for me. Provide three legitimate references that state clearly that innervation is a false myth promulgated by medical science for a century or more.

Knowing how biased you are is what "triggered" me.
Biased by facts, proof, and evidence? Fair enough.
What due diligence and critical thinking did you perform before you continued to argue that it was a false narrative perpetrated by others, and promulgated by me to somehow hurt Loy Mauch?
You said you make your decision to call everything B.S. or a lie based on your gut. Your feelings.
No,that is NOT what I said. If you want to debate, at least try not to continue to lie.
What I said was: "My gut feeling can be followed by analytical thinking within microseconds."
A very clear statement that I am following more than just my "gut" when it comes to calling BS.
Also, you ignore peoples responses just to keep talking shit.
Seems like you are getting upset and trying to avoid the questions.
I AM interested in the thought process, so I'll give it another shot.

You: "So thanks for clearing that up. Your feelings tell you that everything non-democrats say is B.S. or a lie."

Me: How exactly did you reach that conclusion based on these questions I asked you? I am genuinely curious what thought process brings you there. These are the questions I asked. You reply is above

What if mandated vaccines, because of a pandemic emergency, declared by the WHO, contain nanotechnology or neurotechnology that hook you up to the internet for tracking, controlling, monitoring the disease? Would you support yes or no to being forced to take that?

And this is all real technology I've posted in here at length for years that you haven't been reading.

I disagree. You literally said you go with your gut. Which is a feeling. You said it Rob.

They are there to EXPLAIN what it all means. They are there to give context. They are there so that you understand the terminology. They are there so you can COMPREHEND.

This is where these conversations turn south Rob so pay attention. I am not denying medical science. Do you understand me? I am denying your interpretation of it. Do you understand that!?!?!
Biased by facts, proof, and evidence? Fair enough.
What due diligence and critical thinking did you perform before you continued to argue that it was a false narrative perpetrated by others, and promulgated by me to somehow hurt Loy Mauch?
I have read all your biased post on this site. This allowed me to form the opinionated fact that you are biased and have an agenda. Clear enough?
No,that is NOT what I said. If you want to debate, at least try not to continue to lie.
What I said was: "My gut feeling can be followed by analytical thinking within microseconds."
A very clear statement that I am following more than just my "gut" when it comes to calling BS.
You will find information that you think supports your gut even if you don't comprehend it and will lay it down as facts because you feel you are always right. Just my educated opinion.
Seems like you are getting upset and trying to avoid the questions.
I AM interested in the thought process, so I'll give it another shot.
Seems like I am getting upset? Why, because everyone you talk to gets upset with you so your gut feeling is that I am upset too? Wrong.
You: "So thanks for clearing that up. Your feelings tell you that everything non-democrats say is B.S. or a lie."

Me: How exactly did you reach that conclusion based on these questions I asked you? I am genuinely curious what thought process brings you there. These are the questions I asked. You reply is above

Your post speak for themselves. Just like mine do for you apparently.

I'm no philosopher, but I do enjoy a good or even spirited/heated debate. It pushes me to think and to learn new things in order to be able to contribute. When I read about things with interest, I am far more likely to retain the information, understand it, and be able to hold it and use it in the future.

It's a bummer though, that people get so emotionally involved and don't bother to debate with facts and information but choose instead to just declare their belief as the irrefutable fact. And to do so even when the proof they are wrong is on the screen directly in front of them, and readily available through more sources than any of us could have imagined when we were in grade school or even high school.
Maybe they even offer to punch you in the face when you prove them wrong. That's a fun one.

On a tangent, I actually don't envy teachers these days, with the almost unlimited ways kids can cheat the system. Having an AI do my homework for me in HS or university would have been a godsend. But instead of learning how to research, think critically, compose a sentence or 400, I would have been learning how AI works.

Maybe that's how technology goes: Instead of doing math on paper, you learn how to use an abacus. Then someone creates another "math machine", and people learn how to use it. Eventually no one can do it "long form". Seems like a bad thing, but IS it?
Throughout history, the "long form" way has been abandoned on plenty of daily-life things. How many people are crying that no one knows how to use a horse and buggy, or that you can fire up a gas oven, and very few houses have wood-fired cooking appliances?

One of the current memes has to do with knowing how to drive a stick. The reality is that an auto transmission used to be a luxury that you paid extra for. Now it's so commonplace, the need to know how to drive a stick is virtually gone. So congrats boomer; you can drive a stick shift. the new generation is smart enough to not to HAVE to.

It's an open forum where we can all talk in/to the group. Private conversations also exist, as you well know.
I think the loss of using your brain is a bad thing. I'm teaching my son long division and my daughter who did long division 3 years ago can't remember how to do it because she relies on technology. You'd be surprised how many of the younger generation can't even handle cash because they've always just used cards and then that same generation is shocked when they graduate college and realize they'll never pay off their student debt. IMHO, "they" are just emptying their brains of useful stuff and filling it with whatever crap is on Tiktok. My guess is technology is having a horrible impact on memory and the ability to "think."

Maybe, but you are refusing to accept a century of medical knowledge, and are demanding I accept as fact something that you made up in your head.
So instead of doing it for the group, do it just for me. Provide three legitimate references that state clearly that innervation is a false myth promulgated by medical science for a century or more.
And the whole conversation now falls apart....o_O
