Power to LC2i but no power to amp.

I have the remote wire from the amp connected to the remout IN on my LC2i however I get power to the LC2i but not the amp. I accidently had a few strands of wire hit the 12v port on the LC2i and it powered the amp but obviously that would drain my battery. Any clues as to why my amp doesn't have power off the correct remote connection?

Should be remote in from the head unit or a source that is switchable and then from the remote out to the amplifier.

Disconnect the remote in from the amp and bridge a jumper from the positive bolt, see if amp powers up.
