Homophobia: coming from or having a fear or dislike of gay people or queer people (= people who do not fit a society’s traditional ideas about gender or sexuality):

I look at homosexuality as I do religion. I don't care what Religious people do on Sundays as long as they don't come knocking on my door and cram their beliefs. Same with homosexuality. I don't care, but it seems everyday that sh!t is being crammed down our throats. So call me homophobic if you want to. But if they kept the sh!t to themselves I could care less.

Are they really cramming it down your throat? I'm far more likely to encounter somebody with a religious message than an LGBTQxyz person with a message about inclusion or confusion. Is the Pride display at the local Walmart "cramming it down your throat?"

It's not that the odds don't change - DJ (iirc) posted a study and it looks like the odds are certainly different in vax vs unvaxxed. IMHO, the issue is more about effectiveness and we're not seeing this massive reduction in transmission. As we saw with the mask, people like to go to the extremes because reality is too nuanced to fit the narrative, so we end up with "the mask doesn't work." Reduction in spread/viral load due to the mask and social distancing and lock down measures reduces the speed at which Covid spreads and since Covid spreads geometrically, small changes in the rate of spread can make massive differences over time doesn't make for a good meme. It's easier to post a pic of a sheep wearing a mask with the tagline "Only stops 10% of the virus." The vax doesn't do this that or the other is a narrative that will never go away.

Kinda reminds me of a friend I was conversing with recently. We both have a mortgage/sales background and he said "No way I'm going back to mortgages, I'm looking for something simple to sell." The same thing happened with Covid. One side was saying "the mask doesn't work" (gross oversimplification of reality) and Fauci was on every channel every day saying "Mask good, wear mask." Then the vaccine came along and it wasn't a magic bullet, you get the "vaccine doesn't work" narrative. And if you dared to try to explain how the vaccine worked and presented the data to support it, you were "walking back" from a position you never took in the first place.

Nice to see at least one other person here who understands reality.

How about you show me that it does? This is why that kind of info is no longer on the cdc website! This is why they will not say it prevents infection or the spread. It’s why they only say it prevents hospitalization, long term side effects (long covid), and death. This ain’t 2020 or 2021 or even 2022 anymore. It’s 2023 and plenty has been done showing this. 20,000 individuals who cars what symptoms are present and all that, the viral shedding was the same . Your denial of all this is absolutely passed the point of insanity. Letting go of that virtue means that much to you? Actually what CDC's website says the vas is effective at protecting against hospitalization, long covid and death. Therefore one would conclude that it's NOT effective at stopping infection/spread, which is different from "the vax doesn't stop infection & spread." Clearly we can see that the vax wasn't effective at stopping spread & infection with the Omicron variant. Just as clearly if your immune system reduces the amount of time your sick and/or how sick you get, then obviously you're less contagious.

It's been shown in the medical world since the 1800's. I could give you 100 links to info about the efficacy of vaccines, but you would probably say they are bought and paid for by the deep state, or that Joe Rogan did an experiment in his basement that proves the history of medicine is incorrect.
When the proof is so well-known, then it is incumbent on you to prove your contradictory claims.

You're conflating viral shedding and viral load. They are two different things.
Go ahead and read up on them, and we can talk some more when you know what you are arguing.

While you are reading, find some information that indicates viral shedding is the same regardless of severity of illness.

The "vaxxed people are heros" is your narrative not mine. I'm not sure how getting another vaccine when I already had dozens of immunization shots counts as heroic or virtuous. It was a minor inconvenience. I never claimed it was heroic nor have I ever claimed some moral high ground over those that chose not to vax. Is that the new line of reasoning with the anti-vaxxers; since there is no credible anti-vax argument to be made based on empirical data, instead the vaccinated are fools for thinking we're heros for getting the vax? And yes, for many "pro-vaxxers" getting the Covid vaccine was about the greater good (herd immunity) in addition to their personnel health. Again, I'm astonished that if one of your motives for doing something is that is can benefit of others, in addition to yourself, that is somehow a bad thing.

You’re missing my point. I will give you a real world example why it’s not virtuous. My cousin, who steals money from his parents and hides it in his girlfriends name to avoid child support, is a real piece of work. He took the vaccine. His brother, who served in the Navy, coaches little league t-ball for free and mows his elderly neighbors lawn every Sunday isn’t vaccinated. The useless cousin gets online constantly and uses his fake vaccine virtue to put down his brother for not being vaccinated. One of these men has real virtues, and the other doesn’t. The vaccination has nothing to do with virtue.

If the vaccine was indeed capable of preventing a person from getting the virus and spreading it, covid would eventually be eradicated, same deal with the flu. Hasn’t happened and will never happen. These types of viruses don’t work like others.

It would be listed at the top as one of the benefits to get vaxed. It’s only to prevent hospitalization, long covid, and death and it’s not 100% effective at that either. If the vaccine was indeed capable of preventing a person from getting the virus and spreading it, covid would eventually be eradicated, same deal with the flu. Hasn’t happened and will never happen. These types of viruses don’t work like others.

Are you expecting them to test the vaccines all over again to see if they still work or if human bodies have suddenly changed in some way?
Why would they do it all over again, when they’ve already got data on efficacy from literally billions of administered vaxes?

As for immigration: it makes sense because with 81% of the US population having had at least one shot, an outbreak is unlikely. The vaxes required by immigration are done so in order to prevent the immigrant causing an outbreak (i.e. - making others sick).

I’m still waiting for proof that unlike others, this particular vaccine has no blue sky effect. That would suggest that COVID is on some way not a communicable illness.
Did that aspect of it get changed?
