The cost of gerrymandering - democratic representation. Our political system is broken. This has been common theme lately. We have republican leaning states with Dem governors, that have republican supermajorities in their State legislatures due to gerrymandering and those supermajorities are seeking to impose their wills on the entire state. This is what happens when winning supersedes the ideal of democratic representation. This is what happens when the parties cater to their extremes and forget there is a middle.

There is for sure 2 people smarter than Trump or Biden we could vote for, but democrats chose Biden in their primary and republicans chose Trump in the Republican primary. These 2 douchebags are a reflection of who we are as voters.

I'm not sure they are a reflection of us as voters. They're a reflection of what has happened to the political system. Biden isn't even a reflection of himself anymore; keep in mind Joe Biden was a centrist DINO back in the day, ie he voted against gay marriage. He morphed into "Woke Joe" because that was a winning strategy. I have a hard to believing the guy that voted against gay marriage now thinks "non-men" must be allowed to compete in women's athletics to "protect the ***** community."
