SS to grow? How about they get off their lazy ***** and repay the few trillion dollars OWED to SS by the US Government! Both sides have used the SS money as a piggy bank and yet they have yet to repay it like they all claimed they would.

SS is money owed to you and rightfully so. Medicaid is for people who are poor and need said medical insurance & for the seniors & disabled like myself. Without that secondary insurance I would be paying thousands a year in medical bills that I can not afford. Anything I buy now I save up for months at a time to be able to do so. Bad enough I "make" too much money for more then 30 dollars a month in FS that my parents in their retirement are nice enough to use what little extra they have to pay for my food every month.

Go ahead and try to mess with SS it won't be pretty when it comes time to vote. They will lose so many voters strictly on that issue alone if they even try to pass a bill with that sort of language in it.

Fecking bs to say the least. How about people who make more then 147,000 pay their fair share instead of the lower, middle and upper middle class do! They only pay taxes up till that amount and from then on nothing towards SS. Raising that limit alone would fund SS for decades.

We could make SSI a flat tax or dare I say a progressive tax. However, our gov't is fond of regressive taxation, so I don't see that happening.

There is much that could be done to improve healthcare in the US where we pay ~2x what most developed countries pay for worse healthcare outcomes. I'd start by eliminating health insurance companies and moving to socialist healthcare system.
