I agree it is a battle of narratives. I have to disagree about the "rest of us" coming up with our narratives - y'all are just following a different narrative preached by a different set of town criers.

It's a battle of narratives. Statistics and facts get taken out of context or completely distorted. Other facts and statistics are completely ignored.

Where I do see a big difference is the neoconservatives are willing to go down the conspiracy rabbit holes and are so focused on their "libs are bad guys" message that they completely ignore facts even if those facts help them make their point.

One good example: During the BLM rioting, I heard the left trot point out how blacks were ~7 times more likely to go to jail, ~10 times more like to get the death sentence, etc. That's the left taking statistics out of context. They never mention blacks commit 7x as much crime, commit 10x as much violent crime are more likely to repeat offend, etc, etc, etc. Here's the major issue I have with the conservative infotainment industry, they're too fawking lazy and pseudointellectual to research and present these facts to their pseudointellectual audience.

Another good example: "Vaccinated Covid deaths outnumber Unvaxxed Covid deaths." Anybody who bothered to look at the CDC data that verifies that should have noticed another easy to spot stat. I even linked the stats. You used to be ~10x (might even have been 100x at the Delta peak) more likely to die from Covid if you were unvaxxed. That factor now sits at ~2x. Seen any good Washington Times articles with a statistical break down of how the vaccine's efficacy is waning and we should reconsider current covid policy in light of these new statistics? No, neoconservatives would rather misrepresent the statistics, then cry foul when that gets their post deleted off FB and whine and cry about the mean old fascist liberals forcing people to get vaxxed.

That's where the vast majority of the blame belongs. Just like "stolen election" is the GOP's albatross even if some dems and independents think the election process is full of fraud.

Maybe some of it goes there, but there is shyt ton of enabling and encouraging coming from the Dems. Biden made some comment today about guys getting thrown out of resturants. I guess he missed that the exact opposite had recently happened.
