The election was stolen said almost every Republican. The Dems are the only ones based in reality at this point.

I've said it before, but it's genuinely scary at times to see so many people who are so disconnected from reality.
I have family like that. Talking to them is like entering an alternate universe. Complete disregard for facts. Literally have heard that economic stats from the past are all bullshit, fabricated by the Democrats.
I can do little more than shake my head. Trying to get them to see the truth is like teaching a pig to fly.

I'm sure it varies from school to school, district to district, state to state. Keep in mind I live in Denver - the San Francisco of the Rockies. I guess if I want my daughter to have access to birth control and abortion, the price I pay is somebody tell her that she might be a he or a they or gender fluid or she can just make something up. And of course once it's on the intrawebz and social media, the wildfire can get out of control. I do one know one young girl who "sorta" tried to commit ******* over gender confusion. If you ever met her, you'd say she's the girliest girl around. She is literally the definition of a typical HS girl. But that little bit of self doubt that we all have at her age has ballooned into this huge issue where she's changed her name to a gender neutral name and is a "they." I assume she'll eventually figure out she's just a she because it's just that obvious.

I know another boy going down that road, he thinks he's a "pretty, pretty princess." Maybe he is a "pretty pretty princess" and I hope it works out for him, but 10yo seems a little young to be going down that path. IMHO, confusing kids who are already uncertain and nervous about what lies ahead isn't beneficial. Let them know here's a couple choices, if you're having problems with these choices, let's get you in touch with the counselor. Keep in mind we have full blown adults being talked into believing "he is a she" only to find they were really a he all along, but "opps already chopped Mr. Winkey off." What chance does a 10, 11, 12 year old have against this? And in all fairness the right keep trotting it out there too, adding fuel to the fire and the more the right bytches about the more the LGBTQxyz crowd throw it in our faces.

OTOH, as worried as the right is about these teachings, I did find spending less than an hour talking to my kids about it cleared things up for them. Same with CRT and BLM/law enforcement. So had these neocons who went to school boards raising hell spent that time "deprogramming" their kids the problem would have been solved.

I can't say if there is a correlation. I do find it odd that the neoconservative movement has gone in this direction. Their tenants used to be personal responsibility & family, but that's just lip service now-a-days.

Seems both sides have chosen to focus on social issues, rather than important things like fixing our ridiculous healthcare system where we pay twice as much as other nations for worse healthcare. Somehow we're one of the richest nations in the world, but we bury our kids in education debt. Our K-12 system is broken beyond broken; it's like the left and the right got together and conspired to fawk that all up.
