I am powering a JBL CS212LG-TW1 Dual 12" box that presents a 2 ohm load with the Alpine X-A90M. The setup sounds great, bass is tight, and rattles my brain. I couldn't be happier with what it does . . . . . except I am thinking about getting stupid and adding a 2nd, exact same, JBL box. It is a mono amp and has two +/- speaker connections that are still both mono. I have been running the box on the speaker connection on the left side as the manual says to do if you are running one sub. It says you can run 2 subs and can obviously connect the 2nd to the other connection on the right side of the speaker input plug. This is where I need a better understanding. If I connect a second 2 ohm load (2nd JL Audio box) to the speaker input on the right what ohm load is the amp running at. If both channel see a 2 ohm load, is it running at 2 ohms; or does the load of both channels count together, which are parallel connections to each channel, which would make it a 1 ohm load? (I the boxes are presenting a 2 ohm load by connecting two 4 ohm speakers in parallel) I need to know the exact load the amp would see with two boxes connected because the amp is only 2 ohm stable. Thank you in advance for any help!
