Exxon closed at new record high today $107.14/share. Chevron closed at $177, just missing their record high of $176 in May/22. ConocoPhillips hit $126, a record high. Biden has those oil executives running scared.

Funny thing, companies like BP that don't have the US exposure of Exxon, Chevron, etc, are not trading at record highs. As a matter of fact, the exact opposite is happening to non-US oil companies. In 2008, BP traded for $150/sh and today $32/share. Aramco, the industry monster, is down from $11.90 to $9.30 in the last 6 months. Total Energies (France) down from $87 to $54. ENI (Italy) from $84 to $25. China's big dog Petro China down from $4 to $.71/share. I didn't go thru the whole list of the big producers, but it looks like the only oil companies producing results are the US ones. Gotta hate that US exposure. Sleepy Joe has scared all their stock prices to record highs (<----- sarcasm, Biden doesn't control stock prices either).

As I am watching videos and reading articles it appears that both parties agree that there is massive inflation. I am also seeing that the Biden administration is still refusing to accept blame for this inflation. Do they just think that this inflation came out of thin air?

I hear people, usually the left, chirp in and say well inflation is global and is higher in the EU and a few other places. Well no shit, inflation is almost always higher in the EU. They pay more for things then we do typically and taxes are higher there as well. We don't live over there though so let's focus on our inflation and who and what caused it.

So anybody want to disuss what drives Trump's popularity? Obviously there are lots of reasons, but to me the one that stands out is Trump actually stuck to his guns and tried to deliver on his promises. Ie, the GOP paid lip service to border security for years, Trump acted. He loaded the courts with conservatives. He delivered on the vax.

OTOH, Biden abandoned his tough on oil stance the second it was no longer convenient. He pays it lip service, but never actually follows through with action.
