Again Rob? Have you not watched the videos, read the testimony? Rittenhouse was putting out a fire when he was confronted by a protester armed with a gun at which point he retreated. Unfortunately for everybody involved Rosenbaum happened upon that scene and charged Rittenhouse. If not for Rosenbaum, everything probably would have ended peacefully.

I agree, he thought the gun would prevent confrontation rather than create it. Being baby faced doesn't help. IMHO, Rittenhouse just comes off as "soft;" the last guy I'd want in my foxhole. I wouldn't suggest threatening and chasing well armed 12 year olds either. Has somebody suggested arming teenagers because of the Rittenhouse outcome? If so they're beyond stupid.

Teenagers know that it's okay to get a weapon and go play cop at protests now. If anybody threatens them it is ok to shoot them. This court case just proved that. Teenagers can get their own weapons. You don't think the white supremacists would arm teenagers in an instant? 18 year olds can go buy these weapons legally.

You gotta fact check these guys. He didn't do anything (in particular) to that rifle. It's your standard Smith and Wesson M&P 15. He opted for no iron sights and went with the red dot & 20 inch barrel. OEM grips, stock, etc. The red dot may be aftermarket or it may have come without a sight forcing him to go aftermarket for the sight.
