What do you want the penalty to be for the parents? Why can't parents raise their own kids if it isn't criminal?

I remember things from when I was 5. My kids remember pre-school and Kindergarten. I can think of all sorts of ways this could have been prevented. Staff could have said no kids. Parents could have left. Dancer could pased on dancing with kid. Instead the State of Florida will be stepping in to prevent it from happening in the future.

Anything that makes Republicans uncomfortable must be banned. That child looked about three years old to me. I will never tell somebody else how to raise their kids. If I think it's criminal then I will just contact the authorities. That's just me.

DeSantis isn't telling somebody how to raise their kids, he is telling a business what is and isn't acceptable under Florida state law. I'm sure you're not the only one who doesn't tell people how to raise their kids unless a crime has been committed, in which case they contact that authorities, so it's not "just you." In fact it's vast majority of people.

"We" are saying these types of events are not acceptable in public places. What you do in the privacy of your own home has to rise to a different level of unacceptability for society to intrude upon the privacy of your home. Ie, I could give a flying shyt less if you bang your wife while she hangs upside down from a chandelier when you're in privacy of your home - totally unacceptable in public. OTOH, beating your wife senseless is unacceptable anywhere.
