I prefer chocolate over vanilla. If chocolate is not available, I will likely say "no thanks" to vanilla, so it usually becomes a choice over a preference. Then it is not your preference... to prefer means you can do either. If you are saying you can't because it would be flawed then you are saying you are programmed one way and one way only. Are you a robot? Do you think you are less of a man to show feelings? Use feelings? Have feelings? I hate to break it to you but "feelings" are a major part of decisions.
It has nothing to do with being "manly". I have plenty of feelings, but I don't use them to make decisions about things. Ic an "feel" all I want that it is safe to jump from a 3 story building to the ground, but the facts say otherwise. I can "feel" it is safe to wire up an amplifier without a fuse, but the facts suggest otherwise.
People who make important decisions based on feelings take big gambles, unless the important decision has specifically to do with those feelings (like getting married, or putting yourself in danger to try to help a fellow human).
Logic is where it's at for the important stuff.
