It's pretty simple, supply and demand works just as it always does until it becomes convenient to blame the "other guys." You won't see them posting a chart showing US oil production has increased under Biden....

The problem is there are times when we need to legally define "these folks;" ie in sports and the scholarships attached to them. My family and my daughter has invested quiet a bit of time, energy and money into my daughter's athletic "career" in parts because she could get a scholarship. Now that it is more and more likely that she'll have to compete against "quasi-males" for female scholarships her chances of getting a scholarship are dwindling because regardless of what "they" say, we all know males & quasi males enjoy a competitive advantage over girls in athletic endeavors. OTOH, my son has no such worries.

So IMHO "they" are welcome to define themselves up and to a point. Furthermore, I've witnessed first hand how telling young kids who have a hard enough times discovering themselves that rather than it's normal to be a little confused, it really means you're not a he, you're a she or they. It wasn't too long ago that you'd find yourself in a mental institution if claimed you were multiple persons.
