Its probably only like that in certain areas. In FL, like nobody wears a mask. You might see 5-10% wearing a mask.

Does it matter? Are High School students incapable of reporting facts correctly? I assume all they're doing is regurgitating poll numbers.

Additionally, it's like you guys forgot the mask was the center piece of a political culture war just a few years ago. Do you not recall big Trump rallies were masks were a rarity? Do you not remember Trump chastising Biden for "liking his mask too much?" I thought this stuff was common knowledge....

I'm well aware of Florida's resistance to masks. They acted like there was no pandemic down there. And since we're talking about the pandemic it is worth noting despite Florida's laisse faire approach to Covid, their cases/capitia and deaths/capitia or case are pretty close to the overall US's numbers.

Let's not forget it was CDC who said that the masks have very little impact. I remember getting hours of mask training again and again from either CDC or HHS and at the end they would always finish with "the mask isn't very effective." Nevertheless, the mask was all we had.
